Terms of Service Agreement
This Terms of Service agreement (the "Agreement") establishes a legally binding relationship between you and Maid to Perfection: Terms of Service Agreement, Inc. ("Maid to Perfection: Terms of Service Agreement," "we," "us," or "our"). It governs your use of the Maid to Perfection: Terms of Service Agreement application, website, and technology platform (collectively, the "Maid to Perfection: Terms of Service Agreement Platform").
Scope of Work We offer cleaning services at a price based on a list of tasks (Scope of Work). This price assumes your home is reasonably clean and the information you provide is accurate. We don’t inspect homes before cleaning. If your home is dirtier or bigger than expected, you can either pay more for extra time (if the cleaner is available) or reduce the cleaning tasks to fit the original time.
Cleaning Supplies Cleaners bring their own supplies. If you want them to use specific products, you must buy and leave them out with instructions. We are not responsible for damage caused by customer-provided products.
Clutter Before the cleaner arrives, remove items from the floor and furniture. Cleaners spend no more than 1 minute per room organizing and may pile clutter in one area.
Customer Responsibilities You must provide a safe workspace for the cleaner, including restraining or removing pets. Cleaners may refuse to clean rooms with unrestrained pets unless the pet is securely caged. You must ensure all electrical equipment is safe, there are no hazardous conditions, and no unexpected persons are present. Please Disclose valuable items over $200 that you do not wish to be cleaned in writing. Notify us if special care is needed for furniture. Ensure electricity and water are available; otherwise, a 50% late cancellation fee applies. Please leave fresh linens out if required to be changed.
Limitations on Services We and the cleaners can cancel services for any reason. Cleaners take reasonable care during cleaning, but we’re not responsible for damages. Cleaners have insurance for damages they cause but aren’t liable for normal wear and tear, carpet snags, improperly installed items, or items valued over $200 not disclosed at booking. Report any damage within 24 hours of the cleaner’s departure.
Cleaner Responsibilities
Avoid areas with carpet snags.
Be cautious with blinds due to aging and sun exposure.
Only dust securely attached items.
Use a 2-step ladder; do not move heavy items.
Do not handle animal waste or hazardous materials.
Cancellations You can cancel or reschedule bookings without penalty if done at least 48 hours in advance. A 50% fee applies for cancellations made between 48 hours and the end of the day before the appointment. Same-day cancellations, denied access, or lack of utilities will result in a 100% fee. We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are dangerous.
Recurring Bookings Canceling or rescheduling a recurring booking can increase the next service rate.
Ratings You can rate and provide feedback on cleaners through our platform. If unsatisfied, contact us within 24 hours to resolve the issue.
Payment Processing Payment must be processed within 15 days after closing the cleaning. Or a late fee of $25 will be applied for each 15 day period the payment is late.
Relationship Cleaners are independent contractors hired by you. We only facilitate matching and payment.
Changes to the Agreement If we change the rules, you agree to follow the new ones by continuing to use our platform.
Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and able to form legally binding contracts. Cleaners must pass a background check, provide references, and have liability insurance.
Disclaimers We only connect you with cleaners and do not provide cleaning services. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties. We don’t guarantee service quality or availability.
No Solicitation You agree not to hire cleaners directly after finding them through our platform, or you’ll have to pay a $4,000 matching fee. Cleaners agree not to work directly for customers outside the platform for 12 months.
Indemnification You agree to protect us from any claims arising from your use of the platform and services.
Limitation of Liability We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages. Our platform is used to request and schedule services from third-party providers, and we have no liability for those services beyond this agreement.
Dispute Resolution Disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration according to the Federal Arbitration Act. Mediation is required before arbitration for non-injunctive disputes.
General This agreement is governed by Alabama law. If any part is invalid, we’ll replace it with a similar valid one. Notices to us must be sent by certified mail; notices to you will be provided through the platform or your registered email.
